There are a few different ways to get free shipping from Amazon:

1. Purchase at least $25 of items sold from Amazon (items not shipped and sold from Amazon are not eligible) and select Super Saver shipping when you check out. Your shipping will be free!

2. Sign up for a free Amazon Prime trial. Once you sign up, Amazon will give you free 2-day shipping with no minimum purchase. Generally, the free trial is for 30 days, so be sure to cancel before the deadline if you don’t want to continue and be billed for your subscription.

3. Sign up for the Amazon Mom program. (I just found out about this program, and is the reason I decided to write this particular post.) You don’t have to be a mom to participate–you can be a dad, aunt, uncle, grandmother, or other caregiver of a child. And, your child doesn’t have to be any particular age for you to participate. When you sign up for Amazon Mom, you’ll get 3 free months of Amazon Prime–which means 3 free months of 2-day shipping. As with the standard Amazon Prime trial membership, be sure to cancel your membership before the end of the 3 month trial if you choose not to continue your membership in the program.
