NindoMom burst on the scene in late August 2010. I developed it to help people live their lives with perseverance–and to get as much from everyday life as possible. NindoMom offers a growing selection of product and service reviews, as well as advice for dealing with things around the house. NindoMom also contains articles offering food for thought when it comes to family life.

I am a single professional mom and the sole supporter of my family. Just as many single parents have, I’ve faced plenty of challenges in life, but have always been determined to “make life work”–and through much perseverance (which some might call stubbornness), I have always managed to eke out my share of success. My goal for NindoMom.com is to share what I’ve learned, and what I continue to learn, with others determined to get the most out of their everyday lives.

“Nindo” in Japan means “way of the ninja” or “way of perseverance”–and this describes how we must face life pretty well. Only by being our most determined can we overcome the challenges that face us. Just as Naruto Uzumaki does in the hit Japanese anime TV show “Naruto”.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a minor in English. Having begun my college career as an Engineering major, I also have a substantial educational background in math and science. I am the author of the YA novel Chakra–for which I am currently seeking a publisher.

My professional working experience includes working as a:

  • publications manager in the Public Affairs department of one of the largest cooperatives in the United States
  • newspaper reporter
  • freelance writer and designer
  • video and commercial producer at an advertising agency
  • editor and designer for members of the United States Congress
