On September 18, I ordered a 24-pack of strawberry SoyJoy bars.
Amazon shipped the package on September 19.
The package arrived on-schedule on September 23.
M y order arrived at about 3 p.m., delivered via standard USPS with tracking; the outer carton showed no damage whatsoever. Inside the outer carton were 2 boxes of SoyJoy bars printed with product images; each box contained a dozen SoyJoy bars. The expiration date on the boxes was May 9, 2012, giving me 8 months to consume the product–more than sufficient time.
The regular price on this 24-pack of SoyJoy bars was $23.50 on Amazon.com the day I purchased it–but by ordering the bars as a Subscribe and Save item, I saved an extra 15 percent, making the final cost for 24 SoyJoy bars just $19.97.
The only drawback to ordering items through the Subscribe and Save program is that if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can’t take advantage of your free 2-day shipping. Shipping is still free–but it’s the standard 3-5 day shipping. Also, I’ve found that items ordered with free 2-day Amazon Prime shipping are often shipped the same day they’re ordered–although not always. In contrast, items ordered through the Subscribe and Save program are often shipped 1-2 days after I place my first order. Usually, this isn’t a big deal; and if one does need the item faster than standard shipping allows for, one merely needs to order the item via the standard process, rather than as a Subscribe and Save item.
